Taxis at the Magic Kingdom

If I wanted to catch a taxi from the Magic Kingdom, do I have to go to the Ticket and Transportation Center or can I catch outside the main gate?

Your other option is to go to CR and get a taxi from there

Thanks Ed, that's an excellent suggestion. We're planning on being there until park closing after Wishes and I have 3 young children. I'm thinking the bus may be a bad idea.
