taxi??

Does anyone know how close a taxi can drop you off at the animal kingdom??
I have a very early reservation and do not want to chance the bus running late so I will grab one at the front of Wl and was wondering where they drop you off?????

Cabs have to come in the same place as all cars into the parking lot. They don't open the parking lot until a few minutes before the park opens. So if you have an early ADR for breakfast at the AK, take the first bus you can. A cab can't get you into the park any faster than a car can, but a bus can get you into the park faster.

Thanks...I guess I will try to get the first bus I can...I hope it is early.I have a behind the scenes tour and were told to be at guest services promptly at 8:15 so I hope there is an early bus.

Disney runs early buses that start about 45 minutes prior to the first breakfast or tour for that morning. I suggest you be at your resort bus stop by 7:15am. This will give you more than enough time even if you just miss a bus.
As a previous poster stated, cars are not allowed into the AK parking lot early. We made the mistake a few years ago of taking a taxi to the AK for an early breakfast at Donald's. We did not know about the early buses and got bad info from our resort front desk. The taxi was held back with a growing number of cars. Luckily the CM at the gate let us through early enough to make our breakfast. I would never try that again.
As Chip 'N Dale (former Disney bus driver) says over on the Transportation Board......"never take transportation information from anyone not wearing purple pants".
I totally agree. Take the early Disney bus.
