:cool; Does anyone take a taxi from Saratoga Springs to anywhere else? I've heard the busses aren't running too quickly. What is the cost of taxi service?

There is no way I would take a taxi over a WDW bus...unless I had a dinner PS at another resort...resort to resort transport is time consuming.

Bus transport will improve at SSR, it did at OKW...we used to have to share busses with the treehouses, until our resort added enough rooms to have their own busses.

After an hour and a half bus ride from the GF to BW just to get to ESPN for Monday Night Football, we took a taxi back to the GF.
The cost was about $20.00. After that trip we started to rent a car. We like to eat at other resorts and the car works for us.
After a few e-mails and a phone conversation with WDW, they sent me a check for $20.00.
If you are going to use a taxi, ask at the front desk for them to call one for you. The cm at the GF told us the ones that wait outside the resorts charge a much higher rate.

We rely on the buses too, but if you have a dinner reservation at Hoop-De-Doo or one of the other resorts, you really have to sprint sometimes. If timing is crucial, it is great to have access to a car. Failing that, a taxi is not a bad alternative, although probably costly.

We were at WDW on Ash Wed. last year. They have services onsite for Sundays, but not for this. It cost $50 both ways for the taxi to the nearest Catholic Church. Taxis are NOT cost effective!

Along those same lines, anyone want to give us a lift to Saturday service January 7, 2006? ;) We'll be in the Marathon Sunday morning and unable to make onsite service again.

There are no longer onsite religious services (Catholic or Protestant) at the Luau Cove, they were discontinued a little over a year ago.

We had no problems with the bus service at SSR. This was back in June, so maybe things have changed?

If anyone is experiencing slow service, I hope they report it to DVC. The more they hear from us, the faster the problem will be taken care of.

FYI - When we asked about Ash Wed., they told us Sunday services had been moved to CR. This was end of last Feb. Don't know if they're still there or doing them at all.
