Does anyone know how much it costs to take a taxi to Universal?

You can use the Mears Taxi estimator to give you a rough idea of how much it would cost.

I've read that the cost is about $45 or so (each way) plus tip.

The Mears cab estimator says $35, one way..so probably around that. You can also book the Mears shuttle for about $19 r/t.
