Taxi to the French side of St. Martin?

has anyone ever taken a taxi to the French side of St. Martin? If so how long did it take and approximately how much did it cost? Thanks!!

Do you dock on the French side or Dutch side? I thought the French side ,but I might be wrong!

I think we dock on the Dutch side but maybe someone can confirm that?

We've been to St. Martin 4 times - the ship has always docked in Phillipsburg on the Dutch side as far as I am aware. We have taken a taxi over to Orient Beach in the past - the taxi stand at the port has set pricing for taxis to other parts of the island. I think it was $5-6 a few years ago, but from images on the internet, it looks like it might be $7-8 now (for over 2 people). If you do a Google image search for "st martin port taxi pricing", you can find some images with the set pricing on the island.

You dock on Sint Maarten which is Dutch. The French part is St Martin.

There is a big sign with taxi fares in it to different locations that you'll see when you get off the ship and to the main area.

We had 6 people in our van this past Tuesday (Disney Fantasy), and it was $7 per person to go to Orient Beach......jonathan
