I've got an early morning ADR at 1900 PF and will need to get there from BWV. No easy feat early in the morning.

Would anyone have an idea of what a taxi might cost?

It would be somewhere above $20.

There are special early morning buses for all the early character dining. Before you commit to a taxi, at least the night before check with the Lobby Concierge, the person there could give you accurate information or may even (pixie dust) arrange for a WDW van to take you over.

We took a Taxi from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Coronado Springs (they are fairly close together) and it was only $7...I was shocked actually and it was so much easier than doing the bus hop to get there. I say if you don't want to hassle with it it is worth the money to take the Taxi....

On Sat, 12.12, we took a taxi from Fort Wilderness to Beach Club Resort for a 7:55 AM ADR at Cape May Cafe. It was GREAT and soooo easy! It took less than 15 minutes and I think it cost $14 or so. We're a family of six so the night before arranged for a taxi van. WELL worth it!

i agree, a taxi can be so worth it! Direct, no waits and direct to your destination. Plan for most taxis tobe in the $15-20 range

In 08 we took a cab from CR to POP after a late ADR at Cali Grille.

It was 25.00 with tip.

We stay at Boardwalk and its usually $15-$20 to the MK area - but our last trip was over a year ago and its quite possible taxi rates have gone up.

We took a taxi from the Swan to the CR and it cost us $19 including a tip

I have used a taxi several times and I am always unsure of how much the tip should be. I really do not know the correct amount to tip I'm usually nervous that I won't have the right amount of money for the tip when I reach my destination.

The upcoming trip in January will be from the BC (not the GF as originally thought). We have an ADR to Cali Grill and Narcoosees and I will probably want to use a taxi (usually running late for dinner). If the fee is approx $15 - $20, how much to tip. I know this varies from person to person, but I would like to know the range.

Don't know if this is a common thread, I've seen plenty of tipping threads on housekeeping but not taxis. Thanks

15-20% like other tipped jobs.

Use your credit card to pay for taxis - it allows the taxi company to track the transaction if you leave something in the cab or have a complaint (like the driver talking on his cell phone while making Rockin Rollercoaster look tame - which is how I learned this tip). It also allows you to control the tip without needing to depend on the cab driver for change. Taking a $22 cab ride while having only two twenties on you to pay the bill seems to make cabbies unable to have any change available.
