Taxi to Florida Mall?

Has anyone ever got a taxi to Florida Mall?
We are flying in from the UK to stay at AKL in January, and didn't really plan to take a rental car. The draw to the Florida Mall however for a little retail therapy is just TOO great, so I thought we could get a taxi. Does anyone know roughly how much this would cost?
It may be a better bet for us to hire a car for the day. Any thoughts?

It would cost a LOT to take a cab. The Mall is out by the airport, which is a good half hour from WDW...probably will be more due to traffic. I would definitely rent a car for the day. I think they have valet parking at the mall during the holiday season. You can take I-4 to 528, which is more direct but may have hideous traffic. Or you can take 417 to OBT and drive a few miles down to the mall...417 might have less traffic, but OBT can be wall to wall cars...no good way to get there in the peak season.

A fare estimate would be 35 each way for a taxi.

A town car would be around 45 each way.

Might be worth renting a car for a couple of days. JMHO.
