Taxi questions?

hi everyone- quick question regarding taxis.... does anyone have the number of a good one? I want to program it into my cell. Also- once you call for one- say at the TTC- where does it pick you up?

You don't need to call for a taxi from any of the WDW resorts. They are normally waiting outside all the resorts. If one is not there a Cast Member will get one for you right away.
I understand taxis are available outside the theme parks somewhere beyond where the resort buses load. This would not be true for the Magic Kingdom as only Disney buses are allowed near the main entrance. I read a post recently about taxis being available at the TTC, but am not sure where. It would still be easier to get one from any resort rather than go to the TTC for one. The TTC is rarely used by Disney resort guests anymore. It is basically the starting point for off-site guests to the MK.

We used a taxi from wl to cr on a rainy day. We didn't want to take the boat over for our breakfast reservations. We called to bell services, but basically told the cm's out front that we needed a taxi and they just went into the 'street' and whistled one over!! Then did the same at CR to go back! Very easy!

We never had a problem getting a taxi. They were always outside the hotel. Besides, you'd be better off waiting outside then calling a taxi, in which the number would be long distance. Just trying to save you a little money.
