Taxi or Towncar?

We will be going to Disney for the first time in January. Our plane will get in at 1pm. Since we are not getting in very early, I want to get to the hotel/park as soon as we can (so that rules out the Mears shuttle).

We are a group of 3 people. Which one would you do? Please give me the PRO's and CON's of doing either one, including economics if you happen to know the price difference.

I see that the pricing of the Tiffany Town car has round trip to airport listed. Would I have to worry about them forgetting to pick me up on the day I have to go back home?

Thank you in advance. If I were to book with Tiffany, when should I call? I wouldn't want to call too early, and have them forget, and have me waiting on them in the airport, with no ride.

Pro's of a Taxi: You can get them at the spur of the moment.
Con's of a Taxi: They are metered. If you get stuck in traffic, or the driver takes a longer route, you will be charged extra.

Pro's of a Towncar service: Flat rate, nicer vehicles, scheduled pickup on both trips. Round trip rates often have better deals. Pricing is very close to a taxi, and sometimes cheaper.

Con's of a Towncar service: You must schedule them in advance.

You mentioned a concern about them forgetting to pick you up... Although, I have heard a story or two, I generally wouldn't worry about that. It's an extreme rarity.

I usually book towncar services a month before ... I usually give them a call or send them an e-mail a couple of days before just to confirm they still have my reservation

I personally prefer taking a towncar ... I've noticed that some taxis don't use their air conditioners. That can be a killer in the warmer months. I also like that the towncars will make a 1/2 hr grocery stop
