Taxi or town car from airport?

Which is the easier, faster option: a taxi or a town car from MCO to The Dolphin hotel?

We have 5-year-old twins and will be bringing their booster seats for the car. We don't want the hassle of renting a car, and we'd prefer not to take a shuttle or bus because we want to get right to the hotel without making extra stops.

I'm guessing a taxi would be fastest because we could just walk out and get one, vs having to check in for a reserved town car. But then it might be nice to have a sure thing reserved and waiting for us. We will be arriving around 11 am, if that helps. Thanks!

We did a town car once as a treat for ourselves, and now that's our preferred method of travel between the airport and WDW.

We like making the reservation in advance so the car is ready when we get there, the help with retrieving our luggage, the quick arrival to our resort, and the grocery stop to pick up some bottled water and in-room snacks.

We use Tiffany Town Car and have never had an issue. They include a 30 min grocery stop for free (you can decline if you're not interested). Their prices seem fair and in line with other town car options, and we've always had nice drivers.

I belive if you resevere a van (instead of a town car), you can request a couple of booster seats - so that will be a little less stuff for you to haul down there & back.

There wouldn't be any time difference between a taxi and a town car. The advantage to a town car is that they will meet you at baggage claim and help with your bags.

I prefer booking my transportation ahead of time..so a car service works for me. The cost should be about the same. The car service driver should be there, waiting for you when you get to baggage claim. Then, at the appointed time, the car will be waiting for you at the resort to take you back to MCO.

We always use Tiffany Town Car when we don't rent a car and have had nothing but excellent service every time. The drivers are always on time, they have always been very courteous and friendly, and the cars are always clean. Also, as the pp said, the driver will meet you in baggage claim and help with your luggage .

Another vote for the town car - and we also like Tiffany Town car ! I think a pre-arranged ride is actually quicker, they meet you at the bottom of the escalator on the way to baggage claim. Help you with your bags and the car is waiting just outside one floor down.

In addition they offer a free 30 minute grocery stop, we like the option to purchase some drinks, beer and or wine, cold breakfast, snacks and fruit for the room.

Tiffany usually has one booster in the car so you would need to request an extra or bring one although fwiw a 5yo is not required to use a booster in Florida.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! It definitely sounds like Tiffany's is the way to go. I didn't realize they would meet us at baggage claim. I also didn't know that about 5 year olds in FL. Our kids are on the small side, so I would feel better with them in a booster. I'll call and ask about a second one.

We've always used ME, so this is a whole new aspect of planning for me. Again, thanks for the help!!
