Taxi from Sheraton Vistana?

Has anyone here ever taken a taxi to/from the Sherton Vistana? Could you tell me where to and how far? Are there taxi's waiting etc. I am 18 and travelling with a bunch of my friends so we are unable to rent a car, however, we are concerned that the shuttles provoided by the hotel are not as flexible as we would like, and therefore could end up being more expensive at 8 dollars a person a day. Please help, all sugesstions are welcome! WE LEAVE SATURDAY!

It will take 10 minutes for the hotel valet to call on a taxi for you if there are no taxies at the time you need it, there are van taxi to carry up to 9 and limo taxi with a max of 5 and you can ask for each when you call them,
the ride is about $25 for a 15 minutes ride, as to the ride back to the hotel there are plenty of taxies available at the transportation & tickets center in Disney plus all the Disney Resorts, at DownTown Disney, at Universals parking building to take you home, the other parks are on the main roads where taxis are passing by.
If you are interested to take the local bus system then its just a dollar a ride and they go everywhere every 30 min. check out there site at www.golynx.com it will take you longer time to reach as you need to change buses sometimes but they are ok.
