Taxi from Hilton

I usually stay at the Hilton because of points and I like taking a taxi rather than the ART for both speed and comfort however I always seem to run into an issue with the taxi driver when I ask them to drop me near the shuttle bus entrance on South Harbor Blvd. I like entering from there because I think the walk and drive to is shorter from there instead of through downtown Disney.

They always tell me that the city of Anaheim requires them to drop passengers off at the stop in Downtown Disney parking lot otherwise they could be fined for stopping on the street or stopping in the parking lot of say IHOP or the Best Western hotel.

Any suggestions on where we can have the taxi stop near the shuttle. Anybody have this issue before.

I can see him having an issue with the shuttle bus area and I can also see him looking to make an extra buck by taking you a longer distance.

Why not just tell him to take you to IHOP and not mention DL at all? So a taxi can't drop someone off at a restaurant? The problem probably arises because you start by asking to be dropped at the shuttle area which is a no-no.

great idea or even if not ihop they can drop you at BWPPI or Park Vue which is right across the street from the cross walk
