Does anyone know how much it would cost to take a taxi to and from the Waterhouse arena in Orlando? We are staying at the Contemporary and we just bought tickets to the Elton John concert during our stay.

At this point we won't have a rental car since we use a towncar service to and from the airport. Plus it sounds like a hassle to have do the arena parking. I am wondering if I should try to just book the towncar service to take his to and from the concert or if we will be able to find a taxi to take us back to the Contemporary after the concert.

rough guess would be about $60.00 each way. another option would be to take the lynx bus #50 out of the TTC to the LYNX Central Station, that is located 2 city blocks from the TD waterhouse center. for the return trip you may need a taxi as the buses may have stoped running.

Wow, is a taxi really that much?? Our Town Car Service to and from the airport is less than that round trip. I guess I should just book them for the concert. I don't really want to chance it with the bus, especially if I have to take a taxi back. At this point it will probably be cheaper to just rent a car than to pay for two round trip town car services.

What night of the week is the concert? there is alot of parking in downtown Orlando. I don't know how big the parking garage is at the td waterhouse center, however if it were to fill up there is plenty of parking at other downtown orlando parking garages, none are close though you may have to walk 5 to 6 blocks. I think you should be able to get into the td waterhouse center though. the area on the west side of the TD waterhouse center is not such a great area make sure to stay on the east side (downtown side) of the TD waterhouse center.

It is a Saturday night. I did see on ticketmaster that you could buy a parking pass to TD Waterhouse parking garage, but I didn't pay attention to the price. I don't know how it is in Orlando, but in other cities when there's a big event, it seems like all the parking garage owners are trying to make the most money they can from parking.

I would suggest that you see if you can go with the town car service since you don't have to worry about parking at the concert and also worry about trying to find your way to TD Waterhouse. Also if you make arrangements for the town car to pick you up outside the arena area...maybe a block away, you could possibly avoid some of the bottlenecking that happens when everyone is trying to leave at once. Taxi's are expensive in Orlando and you would be going a good distance plus you will sit in traffic around the arena and taxi's also charge for time.

I work all around Orlando and all the parking garges around the Td waterhouse center are owned by the city of Orlando there event rates normally are better then there hourly rates. (there is a gold building directly across from the TD waterhouse center with a parking garage and a big parking lot be aware this is not for public use)
