Taxi fare from MCO to CBR

Since our flight lands at MCO at 11:49 pm (assuming it's on time), I'm starting to wonder if taking DME is such a great idea. I've just read a couple of threads about how long the wait can be late at night.

So...how much is the taxi fare from MCO to CBR? Just so I'll have an idea of the cost if we decide not to use DME. I'm guessing it's about $60 without tip. Yes?

Of course, if we book DME and take a taxi instead, I'll call DME to let them know we won't be using them so they won't wait for us.

TIA

You might want to consider car service. Some companies will give you a round trip price of approx. $100.00. The car service driver will meet you at the carousel or escalator, help you with luggage and take you to his v3ehicle, which is actually more convenient than taxi, and get your right out to WDW.

The Orlando airport website has information on the car services that will be able to help you out..

This is what we used to do before DME, but I guess DME's price (zero) has spoiled us.

Can anyone take an educated guess as to how long the trip would be from exiting the plane at MCO to the check-in desk CBR at midnight? We won't have checked baggage, so we could go from the plane to the bathroom (for 2.5 minutes) to the car service.

I'm still curious about the 1-way taxi fare, if anyone knows. Thanks.

With no baggage to pick up. It would take you abour 45 -50 minutes getting to WDW using the taxi or car service. 15 to 20 minbutes to meet the driver and 25 - 30 minutes driving time. One way would probably run $60.00.

Edd -- Thanks so much.

Am I correct in thinking that this would be at least 45 minutes faster than using DME even under ideal (i.e., with a normal wait time) circumstances?

Usually I don't care how long DME takes--and it's never been all that time-consuming--but we're going to be exhausted at midnight and I'm thinking it'd be better to get to the resort fast and go to sleep even faster!

DME under ideal conditions runs 60 - 90 minutes from gate to resort. Some posters say a 70 minutes average. Gate to resort in a car service would run about 45 minutes if you didn't stop to pick up luggage. 45 minute difference may be stretching it, under ideal consitions.

Edd --

You're a peach! Thanks so much for your help. I think I'm leaning more towards using DME now that I've had some more time to think about it.
