taxi cost?

Anyone have an idea of what a taxi would cost from the airport to Buena Vista Suites and then to Port Orleans? My flight is $183 cheaper if I leave a day earlier so was going to check on staying off site for a night but not sure how much I would really save after paying for taxi fare 2 times. I can get a room at Buena Vista for $79 vs $167 for Port Orleans, so its $88 cheaper but I'm wondering if after I pay taxi fare if I would really save anything.

Thanks for those links. Looks like I would end up paying more if I stayed off site for one night after I paid for the taxi instead of using ME. Thanks.

You could always stay one night at a value; however, I think it is worth something to not have to pack up and move again. Life's too short - just go with adding 1 night to your current room reservation!

I was thinking the same thinking about a value but dont want to have to change so will probably just add a night to POFQ. When I really look at the numbers is only about 2% of the total cost of the trip, seems kinda silly to worry about that.

Tranferring hotels after one night is no big deal. WDW will even transfer your bags for you. If your park tickets are via WDW package, then you have to go to POR to get them, but otherwise it's easy. If you have your tickets already, then it's no big deal at all.

When you pack for the trip, just pack a day bag. You can even do it carry-on style.

The last time I did this offsite, I stayed at HoJo in I-Drive. Very inexpensive. I had a rental car. We even got a free breakfast that was quite good. The money I saved on breakfast alone made it a great deal!

Next trip, we decided to spurge the first night instead of going budget. We're going from AKL concierge to Pop! Ha! Ha! I'm betting they don't get that transfer too often! Normally, I'd do the better resort at the tail end of the trip, but I think this is going to be fun. We've got free dining package at Pop, so we're plannig a resort day for arrival day. I figured I had better make it good! WE might hit DTD that night....
