Taxi Cost from Boardwalk to Universal

My dh and I will be at the Boardwalk for a week in October and want to go to Universal for their Halloween night - how much is a taxi to get there? And will it be difficult to find a taxi from Universal after midnight?

I can not help you with the cost of the taxi to Universal, a friend of mine took one from the POP to sea world and the cost was $23 each way plus tiip, so I would assume that the cost would be a bit more to Universal.
I'm sure there will be plenty of taxis available when you leave Universal. Even though it will be late the taxi companies are well aware that there are special events that extend the park hours.

You might be able to rent a car for the cost of a taxi. National & Alamo have a rental desk at the Dolphin hotel which is within walking distance from the Boardwalk. Using all available discounts, it might actually be cheaper!

I beleve that the taxi ride is around $30 each way to universal. The cheapest option would be to rent a car at Dolphin (Alamo, National) which is within walking distance from Boardwalk, drive to Universal, come back to Boardwalk and drop off the car the next morning. With codes and all, you should be able to get a compact for about $20.
