How much should I expect to pay for the average taxi cab ride for two adults to the CBR in late May (after the holiday weekend.)

Need to know where you are coming from?
If you are referring to getting from the airport to CBR why don't you just use the Disney Magical Express service that is free for Disney resort guests?
If you mean to and from the theme parks I would guess between $15-$20. You would be better off taking the Disney buses (free) to the theme parks.

My parents do not want to take a bus so magical express is not an option for them (I know, I know ... that sounds crazy I love ME and its free.) I told them that the other two options would be to take a taxi or a limo but I know the limo's are expensive.
Thanks,
Bronte

You are still better off with a car service rather than a taxi. The car service will be waiting for your parents at the airport and help them with them luggage. The fee will be set whereas if they took a taxi the charge would increase if they were to get stuck in traffic.
We used Prestige Town cars las year and were very happy with their service and price....it was lower than most at that time. They have merged with Tiffany Town cars now so I don't know if they still operate under both names. Prestige also had a $5.00 coupon for booking online.

I have looked at the websites for car rentals vs. a taxi and it gives you a good idea about what to expect to pay from airport to WDW but I was wondering has anybody went out of WDW during their stay. We are planning to stay at POR but will need to make one trip out of the park to the grocery store. Does anybody have any idea about how much that would cost?

From the airport IF Magical Express isn't what you want to go with...use the towncar service...
we've used Tiffany Towncar on the last 2 trips and have been very pleased. Like a previous poster said, the TTC driver is waiting for you at the bottom of the escalator, helped us carry our bags, is a short walk or on our last trip the driver brought the car to the curbside for us. We didn't have to wait for anyone to call the service...they were there waiting. We opted for the 20 mins. grocery stop to grab water, drinks, breakfast foods and snacks...our plane touched down at 11:20am...we were at SSR at 12:45...we had one of the farthest gates, made restroom stops on the way to the tram, stopped at the grocery store, so not bad...much better than the bus services. Plus, if you have a Passporter's guide you can save $8 on the cost of the car with Tiffany...coupon in the back of the book.

As for getting from resort to resort type of stuff...taxi...
We decided to grab a taxi to get from SSR to WL for a meal we were having and didn't want to be late using the WDW bus transportation...it took us about 10mins. and cost $13.50...most of that cost was because we incurred 2 red lights and the fare ticker keeps going for that...it was still worth it!

Hope this helps!
