Taxi Advice

Hi my lovely DIS folk,


I am looking for advice in using taxis when we are staying at CBR.

Although we will use Disney Transportation as much as possible, we are going to need to use a taxi a few times for Seaworld, one of my ADRs and to return from Kissimee following my Mum's wedding!!!

Can anyone advise which are the best and most reliable taxi firms to use?

Will concierge book them for us?

And will my boys, aged almost five and seven by the time we get there, need booster seats?

Mears is the only taxi company that is allowed to pick up on WDW property. They will be waiting just out of sight at your resort - just stop by the front desk on your way out and they'll call one up for you.

Their number is (407) 422-2222.

Florida law only requires children age 3 and under to be in a car seat (booster seats aren't required at all.) You can request a taxi with a booster seat.

One last thing - Will I also be able to Pre-book a Mears taxi to pick us up from a villa in Kissammee and take us back to CBR?

we were checking out of AOA and into boardwalk. when we approached the luggage area of AOA, they called a taxi for us. they have taxis just waiting in another lot. we waited a total of 10 minutes (if that).

it took about 10-15 minutes to get to the boardwalk entrance. the cost ? $7! (sure beats having the luggage sent over, to finally get hours later. our original plan was to take a bus to DHS and then a boat over to boardwalk, with a small bag with our swim suits, etc.)

a 20% tip would have been $1.40. sheesh.. I gave him 5 bucks.
