Taxes??

I've been reading through all these posts and have found the answers to many of my questions including annual dues.

My last question is a bit harder to find a clear answer to....Taxes!!

If we were to buy say... 160 points and just pay it off on the spot, not finance.... How would our taxes be determined each year? Does it go per point? I'm confused on this. Also, what is the amount of tax (percentage) that we would be charged? Is it a Florida tax or would it be from my home state? Are there Federal Taxes?

Just trying to figure out in advance how much the entire thing is going to cost us each year.

Property taxes are included in your annual maintenance fees, which are based upon the number of points you own, and which resort you own them at. There aren't any additional taxes.

There are no "taxes" per se for DVC Members. We do pay Property Taxes thru our annual fees each year - and they are represented as a % in the annual budget and figured on a per point basis, just like all other components of the annual fees. You will not pay these to the county - Disney actually pays them and assesses members. There are no other taxes with DVC ownership.

Oh I am so glad to read this!! So, some of the figure's that I saw on here are including the taxes. WHEW!! That takes a load off of my mind.
