OK, I just got all the prices for my character meals and I am trying to find the tax for Florida. This way I can put all the money in seperate envelpoes ahead of time.

The General Sales Tax rate in Florida is 6.0%. Each county has an option for a County Surtax of 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5% for a total Sales Tax of 6.0%, 6.5%, 7.0% or 7.5%. This isdetermined by a proposal that is voted on by registered voters. In addition, many counties have a "bed tax" which is added to the Sales Tax for short-term rentals.

Most of WDW is in Orange County. The Sales Tax rate (meals and non-food purchases) is 6.5%. Just as an aside the bed tax is 5.0% so on a room the total tax charged is 11.5%.

The All-Stars Resorts and Wide World of Sports are the only parts of WDW that are in Osceola County. The Sales Tax rate there is 7.0% and the bed tax is 6.0%, so the total tax on a room is 13%.

:cool1: That is one thing I really enjoyed about the dining plan. No need to consider tax or tip
