Tax/VAT on purchases

I wonder which precise routes involve a VAT surcharge on any merch bought onboard. I know Castaway Cay has a taxcharge (12%) and I know some of the European routes do..
I have the following cruises for this Summer and would love to know which ones have VAT and how much.
1. transatlantic from Miami to Barcelona
2. Greek Isles from Civitavecchia (100% sure this is one with tax)
3. Norway/iceland from Copenhagen to Dover
4. transatlantic from Dover to NY

For VAT it should just be cruises that have all the ports in the EU, so just the Greek Isles one from your list.

You mention two different situations. The stores onboard are closed while docked at CC, so they do not charge Bahamian tax on onboard purchases, but any purchase made on the island is subject to a specific private island tax because it is in the Bahamas.

The VAT applies to onboard purchases if all the ports during the cruise are in EU countries. Cruises 1,3 and 4 all have non-EU ports so Disney will not charge VAT on onboard purchases. All the 2022 Greek Isles cruises will be subject to the VAT because they only stop in EU countries - Italy, Croatia and Greece. If a cruise would stop in Turkey or Montenegro, the entire cruise would become VAT-free.
