Does it still work if you have the turbo tax disk or does it only work for filing online?

Also, when you use turbo tax online, can you save the file to your computer or does it save it on their website.

Not sure about your first question already having a disk...wouldn't the disk and doing it online be the same

I can save it to my computer and is also still their on turbo tax website,,,got to transfer all my stuff year to year

Wow, I didn't realize you don't have to pay for turbo tax at all. I thought you just meant efiling. It took me to the website and it's all free.

Turbo Tax here too! Used it for many years and love it...so easy. I buy mine at Costco (it includes free State) and have for the last few year been able to use the Costco discount coupon to buy Turbo tax, great savings.

You know, I have used Turbo Tax both ways and I guess it is just my preference to buy it, I hope someone can give you a better answer.
I do remember when I last did the online version, I was helping my DDIL do her taxes and it did not cost her anything, it had to do with her income. (or as she says "lack of it").

Yes.....you need to register on their site and once you sign in....to the left is a link to "free tax filing"......and it takes you to turbo tax

I never knew that! I wonder why State Farm doesn't publicize that more???? I have the disk for Turbo Tax. I will have to see if I can e-file for free using that. They have a rebate for a free filing so I can still get it free but if I don't have to bother sending in the rebate, etc. that would be great.

With using the online version, how do you preview one of your forms?

I want to look at one of my Schedule C's.
