Tax refunds

We just filed Monday electronically. It was accepted today. We don't have education credits this year because neither me or my husband were in school last year (he graduated at the end of 2011 and I graduated in 2006, lol) so our refund was significantly less than we expected but still a refund so I can't complain, lol.

I was finally able to order a transcript and use the IRS tool to fill in my DS and DD FAFSA forms, today. I have tried everyday. I too was part of this H and R Block fiasco. My Where's my Refund still shows it is in process, with the old system ( no arrow) How long did it take to get your refund after you could order a transcript? TIA

It took less than 48 hours to finally show a DDD. I will also say that our date was the 20th and we actually got it yesterday!! Sounds like you will get a date anytime now. Good luck!!!!! Don't give up hope!

I used TurboTax and am also being held up by education credits. Filed on 2/21 and am still getting the "processed" status. Grrr. My state refund has already been deposited.

My refund hit today. Two weeks start to finish (3/6-3/21). At a week I got a message on the status window 'read this info' regarding a form 8888 that I never addressed. Status changed from accepted to 'did you make a mistake entering data' at 9 days, and remains that way even though the money hit this morning.

Still in purgatory, no word from H&R Block or the IRS. Some day my money will come..............

A call to IRS today said it could be up to 21 more days before our deposit.

I can live with that if I was sure it was true.

I did finally get a letter from HRBlock. No real news, just an form letter stating what I already knew, but I did get notification.

Ours was direct deposited 2 days ago, early because the date we were given was March 26th. It took the IRS about 4 weeks to process our return. We didn't have an education credit but we have an energy credit. Good luck everyone!

Logged in this morning and FINALLY got a DD of March 27 . I was feeling left out yesterday because everyone I talked to had already gotten a DD date. So to those who have not gotten a date it should be soon. Also I tried to order my transcript yesterday and I was not able to do so. After that I figured it would be another week, but the next day I had a date. I had the eduction credit and mortgage interest credit. Good Luck all !

We filed on the 18th as well, using TurboTax, and have a DD scheduled for 3/27. Ours isn't simple, but we filed out almost exactly the same lines and schedules this year that we have filed out every year, even mostly the same donations. Maybe that makes a difference.

That probably explains it better. Same income sources. Similar amounts year-to-year. Same/similar line items. I agree with you.
