Tax refunds

We efiled on Feb 8 and had our refund in our bank account Feb 15! Sadly, its being used for paying medical bills and not a great Disney vacation.

I posted this on another thread, but thought it would be appropriate here too...

I had to call the IRS about a separate issue yesterday, and when I finally got a live person (only took 30ish minutes! ), I mentioned the delay in processing that I saw on the website. I was informed that even though a lot of returns were accepted on 2/14, most of those returns did not start processing in the IRS system until Monday, 2/18. This is what is causing the lack of status change on Where's My Refund. I was told that hopefully, most of the returns that were accepted on 2/14 will have some sort of update by Monday 2/25 (since even though the website updates overnight, the biggest updates are done overnight on Wednesdays and Sundays)...

Hope this helps ease some worries! Of course, this is the IRS we're talking about...

I've been reading this thread but not posting. We had education credits for the first time this year too, so we've been watching the tracker anxiously as well. After a lot of checking and hoping, this morning it FINALLY says our refund was approved and gave us a DD date of 2/25. So, there is hope!

I was panicky yesterday b/c at one point it said that there was no info about our return and to give them a certain amount of time after MAILING it! We always efile! But all is well now

Mine was accepted late last night! Says refund will be by March 7. (Had education credits.)

Just to update--I just checked IRS site and now deposit will be on Feb 25!

Oh dear, I may have moved down a peg in their estimation. I checked mine today (education credits on ours), and apparently I am no longer good enough for the sliding bar showing my status. I just get a dry old statement saying my claim is being processed.

Sheesh, what's a girl got to do to get graphics around here?

We are just like you. Originally we had "the bar" showing and now we either get the same message you are getting or it tells us we are entering the wrong information. I have hope that it won't be to much longer since others finally started showing up now. Maybe tomorrow will be our day.

BF and I both filed a couple days after IRS opened up, I got mine Feb 10th and he got his a few days before mine. Filed online through TaxAct. We're simple, single filing, no extra credits types, though.
