Tax Refund....Direct Deposit Bonus Money

So we did efile for the first time and to our surprise our bank, pnc had a tax refund rebate for direct deposit. So there was a separate deposit of $50 from the bank as a bonus....nice! Anyone else have this happen?

I love "extra money" like that. Too bad we bank with BOA and I am lucky they didn't charge us to have our refund deposited into our account.

If it were me I would take that money and treat myself to a pedicure.

I work for PNC and know nothing about this. Is your account new by chance that you may have received this as part of your new account opening?

Nope not new. This is what it says on my statement - SPECIAL DIRECT DEPOSIT BONUS.

Do you have Direct Deposit from other sources? Work, pension, etc?

They frequently have offers of bonuses w/ direct deposit...maybe you were part of that but didn't realize...it can take up to 60 days the fine print says.
