tax question

My son is a full time student. And even though he is working for a certain tax company I had my office manager do his.

He owes I was thinking that full time students received almost all back in what they paid?

Depends on how much he made. Also is he claiming himself while still living at home? That would also cause him to owe.

NO. We are claiming him.

I NEVER owed as a student. Always got a refund. But, I didn't make much, either. The most I ever made while working and going to school was about 10K. (no laughing, please ). I would say double check the return- unless he sold stock or took out 401k or something unusual, or just made a whole bunch of money, it seems unlikely that he would owe. That's just in my experience, anyway.

The one time I owed state I later got a unexpected refund from the state. Not sure what the tax guy was thinking.
