I'm trying to plan our Disney trip and was wondering if anyone knows how much tax to add to room, dinning plan, tickets & memory maker? TIA.

It will depend upon your resort.

Most of Walt Disney World is in Orange County, where the sales tax rate is 6.5% and the hotel tax rate works out to 12.5% (6.5% sales tax + 6% resort tax).

Disney’s All Star Resorts are in Osceola County, where the sales tax rate is 7% and the resort tax is 6%, so the hotel tax rate at those three hotels is 13%.

You have to calculate the components separately. Room tax (as posted above) is either 12.5% or 13% based on which resort. Tickets are 6.5% tax. Dining Plan charge per night already includes tax (so, no tax calculation for you). I'm not sure about Memory Maker.

I can do my own figuring for my trip (not including Memory Maker). Somehow I'm always off about $1.50 each trip, but I'm close to spot-on. Go to Mousesavers .com for room rack rates. They include tax already. Sometimes if you call Disney they give you the per-night rate, with adjustment for weekend nites, and tax is not in the price. Then, sometimes Disney gives you a total for the whole booking. The whole price (I believe) includes tax. You must ask about the tax, so that your figures aren't too high or too low.
