Tax on food (meals)?

Still trying to decide if I want to add the DDP. Can someone tell me what the tax is on food at WDW? I think someone mentioned it was 10%, but I can't remember exactly. Thanks!

Last I remember it is 6.5% with 18% gratuity on TS meals.

6.5% sounds right. It was 6% in 2001; I think 2002 started the 1/2% for schools. It's certainly not 10%. You may be confusing it with some hotel taxes, which can be 11%. HTH!

We just got back and I checked my receipts. It seems to be 6.5%
