Did you know you could deduct what you give to your church each Sunday?? I didn't know that until the tax guy said something.
 
Yes I did know that and if you donate to Make a Wish Foundation, etc.. I believe you can deduct those as well. We need all the deductions we can get. ;) :D
 
Also, if you belong to a zoo society (membership) or museum society. I think our membership for the Henry Ford Museum was $100 and was all deductible.
 
You can also deduct donations of goods to Salvation Army or some other charity that you can donate clothes too. I think you can deduct $40.00 per bag of clothing.
 

Every year our church gives us a printout of how much we donated for use on our taxes.
 
You would put your donation on a Schedule A form if filling one out. As I answered on another thread, you would get a receipt from the church. We send ours out quarterly. All the IRS needs to know, is that you didn't get any product for the payment..and that's usually written on the church receipe.
