weird question but has anyone experienced a lasting imprint form where the tattoo was put on at wdw. My daughter got a tinkerbell one on her arm and its been over a month since weve been home. I can still see on her skin the imprint shadow of where the tattoo was. it was only on her skin 2 days and e removed it with baby oil. she has been bathed, scrubbed, soaped :rotfl2: and it definitely isnt something I need to clean off,and its not a sunburn. its like a lasting imprint/shadow/ on her arm, very weird and one Im not too thrilled about :confused3
anyone else experience this?
we have done other type of skin tattoos like from party city etc and never had this problem
thanks in advance for any insight

I can't help you much, but my DS got a temp tattoo at the NASCAR race in Dover on May 31st, I finally took it off with alcohol on Sunday morning. Would you believe he has a tan line??? The tattoo was Combos, the snack food, on his arm, like a band. So he now has a Combos shaped tan line on his arm. :rotfl2:

hi guys
I had thought a tan line at first but its been over a month already and it was only on her for 2 days, and we werent really in the sun because of my other daughter (skin allergy-needs to be in shade, etc) so the first week or two I said ok maybe a tan line, but now almost 6 weeks later, really??
if so,I will be glad but I guess need to wait more time??

We got our girls Hannah Montana dolls, and inside came a few tattoos, so we put them on them. 6 weeks later they were still on!!! We were having professional pictures taken of them, so we wanted them off, so we got the rubbing alc. out and started scrubbing... and scrubbing... and scrubbing. Their arms were bright red, and they still weren't off - I think we took off more skin than tattoo!!!
Moral of the story.... Don't use Hannah Montana tattoos!!!
As for your daughter - I can't believe that you took it off, and could still see it weeks later. Ours wouldn't come off, but once we took them off, after a lot of scrubbing, they were finally off!

DD's princess tattoo at WDW was mostly gone on 7 days after she got it. However, she got a sparkly rose tattoo at a school carnival 3 weeks ago and the tattoo is still in perfect shape:confused3

My son had one of the pop tart tattoos and it did the same thing it was on his arm forever and finally just faded away after a month or so. I hope it eventually comes off.

I was extra careful with my Tinkerbell tattoo and it lasted for about six weeks. When she finally started fading I took it off with fingernail polish remover and I had a bit of a tan line. It will eventually go away.

OP, was it a Henna tattoo?? Those stain the skin right? If so, I would think it would take quite awhile to go away totally.

That happened to us too! We were having pics done of my older two and my niece when the girls were about five and all you could see on my DD's and niece's arms were the tatoos they got with my MIL at some parade a week before (okay, so not as bad as six  ). I ended up just having to cover their shoulders with make-up since the alcohol was not working!

Disney tattoos seem to last a long time, which to me is a good thing for the amount of $$ I spend at WDW :rotfl2:
DD got one in January and it lasted about 2 months. She just got one last week and I expect it to be there for quite a while. The "shadow" will eventually fade away, I think it's just the staying power of the tattoo. Getting a disney tattoo would definitely be a good way to decide (for an adult) if you really one a tattoo or not, because you'd have a lot of time to look at it and think about it :rotfl2:

Ours just came off on Tuesday of this week- lasted 2 weeks. My youngest has a tan line on both arms from the tattoos. if she isn't in the sun much, it will take a while to go away.

We've gotten a tattoo at the Studios outside the Muppets show every year for the past 9 years and I've NEVER had any problems with them. In fact in April when we went one of the girls 'touched' theirs and it came off. The lady replaced it no charge. Usually our tattoos last for longer then the week we're at Disney and are a nice souvinear when the girls are home to show their friends. That's why I don't mind spending the $5 for each tattoo. Actually DH got one this year of Jack Sparrow!

You say she has skin allergy. Could be a very minor reaction to the ink.

that was my first thought too, even though she has gotten other temp tattoos maybe the ink in this one reacted differently, or maybe because she WAS in the sun (even shaded) it had a reaction with her skin & the tattoo.

i wouldn't worry about it, especially if it's just a faint shadow. if you really are concerned i would take her to the doctor, esp since she does have an allergy.

We got a Tink tatoo for our dd(4) and it lasted about a week before it started fading away and the last of it to go was the black out line of the entire tatoo so maybe it is still left over on your daughter.
