Tasty Planning Time with ZeBrook! A 2 for 1 PTR - 12/24 - All our bags are packed

I love the shirts you have for Henry and the ones you got yourself. Very cute. The "I love Mom" with Mickey head is my fav.
That bag is also nice and spiffy. I may look into one of those for our next trip...whenever that may be:sad2:
I'll just have to live through yours right now...41 days is so close!!! I know you are excited.

I'd also love to go to the Mall of America some day. Is that right where you live? It looks awsome:thumbsup2

Vacation shopping! It has got to be some of the most fun shopping ever. I love everything that you bought Brook. Cute stuff! I wonder where she found that "Mom" shirt. That is just precious! :)

She got that shirt at the Disney Store a few years back a bit after Valentine's Day (so it was discounted). :thumbsup2 Isn't it adorable? I would love to make a shirt for me that says "MOM" with the O as Mickey's head to match.

I really like the Baggalini. There are mixed reviews out there, but it works perfectly for us! I think BagsBuy.com has free returns if you don't like something, so it's nice that there isn't a risk/waste of money.

The Mall of America is a bit over an hour away, in a suburb of Minneapolis. It's kind of a quick default spot for us when we have several stores to hit. Plus, it has restaurants, the indoor theme park and there is always something going on. Lately we have been ending up there for one reason or another every couple months it seems.

Joe made a YouTube video of our time at the theme park in case you are interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDQijI3hl7k Henry was so tired (very short nap!), and amazed by it all. :goodvibes

Love the Lime Green Baggallini! Mine is blue, I've been thinking I need another color one of these days...

BTW - thanks to your thread I bought Mushies! And I love them! I had a $10 gift certificate for DSW shoes. Went to the store last Saturday without anything in mind -just browsing. Didn't really see anything I needed that was on sale enough for me to buy it (even with the $10 off). I almost left, with my $10 gift certificate that was going to expire two days later. It killed me not to use it. Just before I walked out the door I saw the display of Mushies. Only $23.99, and with my $10 off, only $13.99. I figured, what the heck, lots of people on Brooke's thread seem to like them. I've had them for almost a week and I've worn nothing else! :thumbsup2

I can't believe how much Henry changes everytime you post pictures! My goodness. He looks like a little boy now and not a baby! :sad1:

Love your shirts! So very cute.

I bet that boot is not easy to walk in at all! You are almost done though. :thumbsup2

Love the light picture. I've always wanted to go to the Mall of America.

Shopping for WDW supplies whether clothes, travel size goodies, new luggage..is always fun!

Mall of America--just how big is that place anyway? Does it get unbearably crowded during the holiday season?

Yes, I'm from the Midwest, lived in NYC, and say ya'll.
:darth: You have been turned to the dark side! BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Walking around the Mall of America with a giant boot on your leg is not advisable.
Walking around there with two good legs is no minor accomplishment. That place is MASSIVE! The only way I can make it is through the healing power of Famous Dave's ribs.

Nice updates Maybe the lime green will attract fellow DISers. I din't have much luck spotting anyone at the parks. BUT it was so stinking crowded, I spent most of my time watching the girls and making sure they ddin't get lost in the shuffle.

Great stuff!! Ryan had that red I mickey mom shirt for our 08 trip! Too cute!

I bought Ryan the same Lightening McQueen hat at wal-mart! Too cute and he loves it!

I also love your new baggalini! I love the color!! I too love loud things :rotfl2::confused3 I used to have a pink one and I gave it to my sister!! I've been seriously considering getting a new one! But I cant decide! I gave it away because there wasn't enough room for all the stuff I needed for 2 little ones during our 06 trip! But with the older 2 being, well older and not needing as much gear, and Ryan hopefully being potty trained or close to it by January I may not need a giant pack-mule knapsack for our trip! We'll see!

What a great update!! I just love seeing pics of Henry!!! He really does love his hat doesn't he!!

Love you new bag...and lime green...fabulous choice of course!!!!!!

I saw those shirts today in the Disney Store in Houston but they didn't have my size so I'm hoping the one in Austin will and I can get that Mickey one I just love it!!!

Loved the update and video! Henry's getting so grown-up!

Oh how fun! Shopping and Disney stuff too!

Henry does look so grown up! I can't believe how much he changes in the pictures!! ;)

Hope your foot is doing okay these days and I love the ticker!! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the youtube link, Brook. My DD21 mos (Alexa) just loves watching your Henry on video. You posted links on your last tr, I believe, and had Henry saying new words. She would watch that over and over and say "whos that". She loves this new video too and let me just say Henry is so cute--you could just eat him up!! Especially love that footage of him on the train- so sweet.
We are off to the beach Sat morning, so guess I will catch up with your reports when we get back. Thanks again- love the video:thumbsup2

Score on the deal!!!! Isn't it funny how other DISers make their way into our everyday lives? :goodvibes I'm really glad to hear you like them!

I know it! He grows up right before my eyes. It's exciting and sad all at the same time. He will be TWO in 40 days. Sigh.

That entire area of the mall is covered with those lights, they are strung across the ceiling so it feels like you are in an outdoor courtyard or something. It's really pretty!

The Mall is a fun place. I still remember my first trip. The theme park used to be called Camp Snoopy and they had a GIANT blow up Snoopy you could jump in. I thought that was soooooo neat. It's been interesting too to see the changes it's had over the years. If you ever have a layover in Minnesota for some reason, it's literally across the street from the airport, you can take the lightrail. And PM me, I'll meet you there!

The Mall is REALLY big. I'm used to it now, but it is 4 levels and each level is probably a mile, kind of forming a square. There are many restaurants, a movie theater with I think 18 screens, 2 food courts, an aquarium, a mini golf course and the indoor amusement park. It has almost any store you are looking for and then some. Several stores that only sell socks. At least one that only sells swimwear. One that sells magnets. At least one selling Minnesota gear. 4 big boxes on each corner and everything else in between. The 4th floor used to be bars and nightclubs, but they banned smoking indoors in MN, so now it's fairly empty up there. We only made it to the 3rd floor this trip, so I haven't a clue if they have started doing anything new there yet or not...?

It's a really cool site to see - exhausting but fun!!

Oooh Famous Dave's. Oh yes. Joe kept hinting at eating at Famous Dave's while we were there, but I just wasn't in the mood for it. We ended up eating just at a food court for lunch, and then outside of the mall for dinner. I LOVE me some Famous Dave's though. Thankfully they sell the "Sweet & Sassy" sauce on the grocery store shelves around here. It is regularly stocked in our fridge. ::yes::

I do hope the LIME attracts other DISers. I'll still wear my LGMH's too. I only ran into one or two other DISers on my past couple trips (that weren't planned), and I knew a bunch of them were going! :confused3

I really liked that pink one! I was debating between lime, pink, and orange. I would have probably ended up with orange if it weren't for the DIS.

Your pack-mule comment gave me a GREAT visual. :lmao: I imagined you with a giant backpack, pushing a triple wide stroller that was full of stuff under and poking out of every side....! I'm sure it felt that way!!!

What a great update!! I just love seeing pics of Henry!!! He really does love his hat doesn't he!!

I love that Mickey shirt too! The glitter comes off a bit, but I'm guessing after I wash it the first time it won't be so bad. It's so soft too.

Loved the update and video! Henry's getting so grown-up!

Thanks! He is growing up so so quickly! He has new words and sentences everyday. It's amazing to have a bit of conversation with him and just 6 months ago he only had a handful of words!

Oh how fun! Shopping and Disney stuff too!

My foot is doing pretty good! I still have some pain, but I almost could see my ankle bone the other day. The swelling has gone down quite a bit, so that is a good sign.

That is so sweet about your DD!!!! :cutie:

One part with the train that I missed taping was the employee "talking" to Henry. He was grinning up at her and then did the "choo choo" hand motion of pulling the whistle cord and she just laughed. Then he blew her a kiss. It was so adorable! I wish I would have had the camera going.... When the voice started talking on the train Henry got so excited and kept looking around as if he was saying "Where is that voice coming from!" :rotfl2: Oh, so fun! I'm happy to share the video and glad both you and your DD enjoyed it! If you look at our other YouTube videos you will see some of WDW too...!

Fun update!!! Love the new haircut; the new clothes are very cute, and the new lime green bag is very snazzy! :thumbsup2

Thanks CP! Ooh, snazzy. I like that word! :rotfl: Joe took one look at it and said "Glad you are carrying it." He could tell how vibrant it was even though he is color blind!

That's saying something about it when the color-blind DH can tell it is bright! I really like it though! I love all the pockets in it! Maybe I should get one...:rolleyes1 By the way, my Teva Mushies came last week, and I am in love with them! :thumbsup2

Great stuff for the trip. I love this picture:

Glad you are enjoying the Mushies! I really like mine too and miss wearing them. With The Boot I can only wear a few different pairs of shoes I own, the others are too flat.

2 more weeks, 2 more weeks! :goodvibes

I love all the pockets, my favorite is the cell phone pocket on the strap that goes across your chest. So convenient! I don't have the problem of it pulling my shoulder or making my back ache like some people have reported-and we put quite a bit of stuff in there! I do believe BagsBuy (and possibly eBags) both have free return shipping if you discover you don't like it...so you really having nothing to loose!!! ::yes::

This is adorable!!

Thank you! That is my favorite too. :goodvibes I'm so happy that outfit still fits him. It was a "must purchase due to blow out" in the parks in January. $28! I never pay that much for kids clothing... But we have gotten a good amount of use out of it, so it's made it worth it!

I love the randomness!! Especially when we get pictures of that adorable little one of yours! I really do like the haricut, BTW. You wear it well, I could never wear my hair that short because it's very fine! I don't own a baggallini (:scared1:shocking, I know), but that one looks very functional for a place like WDW. I may have to look into one. All the goodies you bought look like they are perfect for both trips.:cutie:

Hi Brook,

LOVE all the shopping you've done, you got some great stuff!! Love the new shirts you picked up for yourself (it's a good thing that the closest Disney store is over 1/2 hour from here!), they are too cute! I especially like the Minnie one!:cutie: Henry's new things are too cute, too and I can't believe with how big he's gotten that the M.Mouse outfit still fits!! YAY!!:cool1: You're getting some good wear out of that, at least!;) He's really looking more and more like a boy these days, isn't he?!!!:sad2: Yay for a new park bag, too!! I have the black baggalinni from our last trip but had a hard time with it not sitting right on me....it was slipping and cutting my neck off my last trip...maybe I packed too much?! Anyways, LOVE all the space and compartments that thing has and how fun of a color you got...not to mention, very DIS like!!;) Great update! And yay for 40 days.....:cheer2:

Love all the Disney stuff!

We went to the Mall of America a few years ago when I went on a college visit to the University of Minnesota. It was a lot of fun and a bit overwhelming!
