Looking for a good quick service meal. Something other than the hot dogs at Casey's Corner that my DH and DS would prefer to eat at each meal : ) This will be on my birthday, so I think that entitles me to pick!

My favorite QS restaurant at MK is Columbia Harbor House. You can see their current menu at allears.net.

I really like the Anchors Aweigh sandwich at Columbia Harbour House and Pecos Bill for the Deluxe Angus Cheeseburger (bbq sauce, bacon and an onion ring. Yum!) Also Be Our Guest for the Croque Monsieur and chocolate cupcake :)

It all depends on what you're in the mood for!
I like Columbia Harbour House for something lighter, fresher, seafood, etc.

Cosmic Rays has a TON of different options, burgers, sandwiches, chicken, ribs(?), etc

Be Our Guest for lunch is always a fantastic choice at least ambiance wise if you're wiling to wait in the line or have a fast pass, lots of great lunch choices and the ballroom is gorgeous!

We are big fans of Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Ray's. If it was my birthday, I would try for BoG.

I'm always intriqued by the posts about the lobster roll at Columbia Harbor House and am thinking about trying one. Although I'm curious what it's like (never had one anywhere)

Favorite QS lunch at MK: BOG for the Potato Leek Soup, Braised Pork, Roast Beef Sandwich and a cupcake or Sleepy Hollow for the Fruit and Nutella Waffle.

We tried the Lobster Roll at CHH and felt there was too much filler and mayo and far too little lobster. On our next trip we are planning to try the Lobster Roll at the Boardwalk Bakery and the Crew's Cup Lounge at the Yacht Club.

You might consider The Plaza. I know it is table service but it is only slightly more expensive than the quick service restaurant. It might be nice to be waited on for your bday.

I agree, I love The Plaza. The sandwiches are pretty big!

Thanks!

Thanks - great suggestions! I'm *hoping* to snag a BOG dinner ADR for the night before (my son's birthday!). We were lucky enough to have dinner there last time. So beautiful I nearly cried.

I thought about trying for a BOG lunch FP+ for my birthday lunch. Is it reasonably quick - say, faster than a table service meal? I see you can preorder your meal, which must save time.

The only reason I want a quick lunch is because we are planning on MVMCP that evening and the kiddos will NEED a nice long afternoon break in order to have fun that evening.

Yes, I am an OCD planner :)

I've always enjoyed Cosmic Rays. I wish you could order items from different bays at one register (come on, it's the same kitchen!), but that inconvenience aside, they have a wonderful selection. Everything from burgers to a 1/2 rotisserie chicken with all the trimmings.

Pecos Bill's is also a favorite. The fixin's bar makes sandwiches special there. Or for something different, get the taco salad. They give you the taco shell with meat and you go to town at the fixin's bar filling it up.

Many others have suggested Columbia Harbour House. Yep, I agree. What I love most about this location is how relaxing it is, especially if you grab a table up on the second floor. Love a good bowl of "chowda" here.

Mmmmmmm... waffles. 'nuf said. Sleepy Hollow. (Close enough to carry your waffle sandwich over to meet the crew at one of the Casey's tables, too. They get their hot dogs, you get something sweet, savory, and special for your birthday.)

We did walk up BOG and it was only 1/2 hour from start of line to eating. If however you do it the night before, I would choose something else. I like the chicken platter from Cosmic Rays and the burger fixin bar at Peco Bills. Cassey's is not too far from PB if you want to grab your kids hot dog and take them along. If you eat anywhere about 11:00, you will have a shorter wait and should be on the bus back to the resort by noon.

I agree with this! Sometimes we throw in Pecos Bills if we are in the mood for Tex Mex!

We also enjoy Columbia Harbor House, I especially enjoy the Lighthouse Sandwich, but it's HUGE. I saw the lobster roll and won't try it because I don't do mayo and that sammy had a LOT of it. Just forewarned is forearmed.

We also enjoy Pinocchio's Village Haus, although it appears not many do. I especially enjoy the caprese flatbread, and my "kids" like the bbq chicken one.

And in my opinion you just can't go wrong with The Plaza. The food, the service, the location and the atmosphere makes it a must-do every time we go, although we go for dinner. Simply a lovely experience in a charming establishment.

We went to Cosmic Ray's once and my DD got violently ill from the food so that restaurant has been off our list for quite a while, although it has a strong following.

Haven't gone to Casey's since the late '70s as I'm not really much of a hot dog fan but they do smell pretty good!

We're with you, we really like Pinocchio's Village Haus. To be honest, we just tried it on our last trip and loved the flatbreads there...I really like the pepperoni one, but the BBQ chicken sounds just as good. On one of our MK days we are doing QS, and both DH and my girls have suggested going back there :goodvibes.

Our other favorites are Columbia Harbor House (the shrimp basket and the fish and chips are great), and Pecos Bills...both DDs and I love to get the taco salad while DH likes the pulled pork sandwich. We do really like Sleepy Hollow for the waffle sandwiches. The girls and I get 2 fruit and Nutella waffles that we share while DH likes to get a plain waffle with syrup :goodvibes, we then wash them down with the Liberty Swirl Slushes :goodvibes. However, we mainly go to Sleepy Hollow for breakfast.

My suggestion will involve getting to 2 different places. This is what I did, got a Dole whip float, then went right to Sleepy Hollow and got myself a ham and prosciutto waffle sandwich. Delicious!! If you don't want to do that, we loved Columbia Harbour House's clam chowder soup and the chicken nuggets/fish combo. The lobster roll looked really good too.
