Tastings in Hook's Barbary

I want to schedule a tasting in the Barbary for my son in law but I can't tell which ones are done there vs ones that are done in other locations. Does anyone know the specific tasting I should be looking for? This wll be on the DESTINY.

They generally do alcohol tastings in Hook's Barbary - Old Fashions, Burbons, etc - they are relatively small given the space.
Timing and listings will be available when your activities window opens - 130-days for Concierge - down to 75 days for first-time Disney cruisers.

You can also just go to Hook's Barbery bar during their open hours~ the 'bartenders' there are amazing and will take you through the different choices, options and give you a background/history on the different liquors. They will help you chose a drink to your preferences. We had such a good experience doing it this way~

Yes…this was my favorite experience on our cruise!

You won't know the location of any specific tasting until you're onboard. As others mentioned, bourbon and whiskey tastings tend to be in there, but there's no guarantee and no way of knowing a specific tasting location ahead of time.

The hours were limited, something like 5-8. And, if I recall, not even posted on the daily app of what’s going on, best to stop by the Barbery and ask when the bar will be open.

I know the Whiskey Reserve is in there, but it is the priciest one. My husband loved it though because he got to try so many expensive ones.

Just got off the Destiny and took this picture of the collector coins you can get for purchasing a glass of any of the ultra high end whiskey/scotches. You can definitely just pop in for a glass when it’s open. I was hung out there while my husband and son got haircuts. The bartender told me that they only have six spots for each of the tastings held there as it’s not a very large space.
