I was just reading a blog from 2009 where the restaurants (all 3) were giving interesting samplings of their foods.Apparently you meet at Boma 4PM and then they take you to all 3 restaurants.Soups, breads to name a couple of dishes. Does anyone know if they are still offering this?

It sounds like the beginning of Wanyama Safari. You meet at Jiko about 4, have appetizers and a beverage, then go on the AKL/AKV safari. Return to dine at Jiko.

It's not a safari as I've read it in the DFB from 2009. It sounds like it was a free tour at AKL

I think they still do something like that at Jiko. If I run across our activities info from our May stay I'll take a look but I'm not certain where that is. The resorts board for AKL probably has some info or someone would know.

I wonder if you're thinking of the Culinary Tour of Boma and Jiko, 2 restaurants not 3. There is one of just Sanaa, that's listed as Cultural, but when I went there was food! I've gone on the first tour twice, and it's still on the September activities list at 3:45. Once we got some Butternut Squash soup, once a zebra dome at Boma. Then we went to Jiko, had a bread service appetizer at the bar, while a chef talked about the spices. At the tour over at Sanaa, there was a bread service at the end, thoroughly explained by the head chef.

That's it! Thank you ,it sounds perfect for the day that we're doing the night time safari!!!!

Do you have a link to it?

we just went 2 weeks ago
Culinary Tour at Boma/Jiko
meet at the Boma platform at 3:45
Lots of cool info on the restaurants, and a bowl of soup, a zebra dome, and a bread app at Jiko
I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be taking my SIL on our family trip in November
