I know a lot of folks don't like this show, but it is one of our favorites. Particularly because the song "You'll be in my Heart" is something I sing to my kids. If you've ever gone to the show and seen some crazy woman sobbing in her seat, that'd be me!

Jeesh! First the Hunchback show is cancelled (my all time favorite!) and now Tarzan.

I know Disney has to move on to the "popular at the moment" characters and movies, but I don't know why they have to cancel things!

I am with you! I love that show. It is something different and the kids love it! I think they are redoing that theater and so that is why it is closing. I must admid that it was always really hot in there. Hope they improve that!

I'm just glad that we'll still be able to see Tarzan Rocks when we're there the end of October. My DH thoroughly enjoyed this show. When I told him it was being closed, he wasn't happy and hoped it wouldn't be gone before we got there again.

Kris :wave2:

146 days till we leave for our 30th Anniversary Wonder cruise and a few days at POR.

I read somewhere that they were going to enclose the theater like they did the FOTLK theater. This is being done due to the concern for noise coming from Expedition Everest that might interfer with the show.

Tarzan Rocks will not be going dark but moving to Disneyland Tokyo. The cast have all been invited to move with the show but I'm not sure how many will actually make the move.

They have to cancel things because park growth could never keep up with how many movies they release. The Lion King show at MK was replaced by Philharmagic and most people love that decision. (of course, you have FOTLK at AK.) My point is that sometimes change is good. I'm not a fan of Tarzan Rocks and that theater definitely needs to be enclosed. It was hot in there on a 78-degree day.

I am glad that I atleast get to see it one last time when I go in October, maybe I'll talk my mom into videotaping it so i'll be able to keep it with me forever. I loved that show.

Sounds good to me. I'm ready for a change. I love the music, the show is OK. We just returned from a 16 day visit last week and my husband couldn't drag me there. I remember when it was the jungle book show before Tarzan. I also miss Hunchback, but it wasn't even replaced by anything....Hope they do enclose the theater, it needs it.

Personally, I love the show!! It was one of my family's favorite shows. I do agree that it was hot in there but it gave us a good excuse to buy one of the delicious frozen lemonades!! :cool1:

Well, pass the kleenex, Luigi's Girl!

I just saw it Tuesday and will see it several more times before I leave. I reallly hate to see it go :(

not really a big fan of the tarzan show... it seems to me that the singer is always off and its kinda boring. (of course we always go to it anyways!!) :) but I hope they replace it with something show-stopping. :)

Just remembered another wonderful memory. We were watching Tarzan Rocks, had excellent seats. The singer signed to my daughter "I love you". She caught on and signed right back to him "I love you too". That caught me so much by surprise. I didn't know they knew fundamental signing. He seemed very pleased. I was teary by that point. Now, I'm teary again. Pass the kleenex.

OH, this family will miss TARZAN ROCKS! :disrocks: Our 27 y/o disabled son loves to go, we've been there at least 200 times ( of course, we live near Orlando, so that helps!) He always wants to sit in the front row and flirt with the girls and give Billie a hug! I know the overall view is better from the middle, but since he can't see too well, I am SO GLAD this show allows disabled people to sit in the very front, because so many shows put the wheelchairs at the back.
I guess we'll just have to go every week until the show ends.
We still miss Hunchback at MGM!!! :jester:

Bummer, we really love the Tarzan show. Actually its probably the only "show" DH is more than willing to see!

I'm not keen on the Tarzan show - seen it once and that was enough for me.
