Tarzan Rocks or Lion King?

Lion King is the best show at AK. My two toddlers were mesmerized. I would have to say that Beauty and the Beast is the best show in all of WDW, and the kids liked it too.

A fairly recent survey ranked it as the best show on property. Not just AK. All of WDW. (those of us who work at AK are quite proud of this little fact, even though we may not necessarily have anything to do with the show )

Samirella, do you work for this show? I just love it. My biggest fear is them taking it away, thinking they have to get something new in there. You haven't heard anything like that, have you? Its just a fear of mine. I hope they have it there forever!

Lion King--Tarzan Rocks was a been there done that not going again attraction for us! The noise levels were jsut too much for all of us--and I was sure my 13 DS would love that, but no. Now we go past and the kids both ask we don't have to do that do we?

I see Tarzan Rocks 2-3 times per trip and like the loud music the monkeys on skates and flashing lights.
I have been fortunate to only have to sit through that boring snooze fest FOTLK once. Sorry folks I would rather do Sounds Dangerous without the headphones at least it is dark.

I thought Lion King was very enjoyable, I go to see it everytime we go to AK. I did not like Tarzan and would prefer to not see it again, the wife however loves it, mostly for the eye candy, even she admits the show is not that great but that "Tarzan is hot" in her and most other womens opinions. just my two cents worth.

I love them both, but I would probably say FOTLK is better overall. I can't believe so many people dislike Tarzan though! I love the live music and the energy of the show. Really, if you've never been before, you should try to get to both shows!

Tarzan Rocks is too loud for me, but the agility of the performers is truly something to see (once, at least)!

In my opinion, Tarzan is the best live show at Disney. Great music, actors, and all. However, if you have smaller children (mine are teenagers) then maybe Lion King would be better.

Nope, haven't heard anything like that. I doubt this show is going anywhere any time soon.

No question about it....FoTLk is my favorite on WDW property (note tag to the left ) I have seen the show well over 100 times and never get tired of it.

With that said, Tarzan comes in at a close second, but it had to grow on me. FoTLK was the first show that I saw at AK, so my standards were set pretty high. I went into Tarzan thinking it was going to be similiar and boy was I wrong. I didn't like it at first because it was so differant from FoTLK but now love it and it is my DS favorite. If you have time for both, I would catch both of them.

We have friends that come down once a year and for some reason the husband refuses to see Tarzan. He would rather stand outside and wait while the rest of us go see it then sit and watch it himself. I think there may have been a comment made at some point from his wife regarding Tarzan, he is pretty good looking, with huge muscles

I liked boh, but yes Tarzan is loud and the singers weren't great. I was trying to imagine Phil Collins in my head....

But the energy and action were fun to see. I wish they'd turn it down a bit, though.

Lion King was more of a show and less of a concert, quieter, etc. and also a fun thing to see. It was much slower paced.

I'd see both and see for yourself!

We loved the movie Tarzan and very much looked forward to seeing "Tarzan Rocks," however....this production has little to do with the movie. After the roller bladders rumbled around and people started to drop from the ceiling on bungee cords, my wife and I looked at each other and said, "huh?" We were in the back, and finally made a beeline for the exits. The people next to us followed us out, too.

See it, it's free. You may love it. But don't think it has anything to do with the cute movie.
