Where do you like to do all of your shopping? Where do you think you can find the best deals?

Walmart has one of the worst in person shopping experiences but I do occasionally use their website.

Target is typically more expensive than other stores in my area and they removed the majority of registers so the self checkout lines are nuts.

We don't have Target in Canada. It was quite the fiasco when it came up here lol.
So Walmart is the only option except some smaller stores. As in the only option of the type of large variety store.

Walmart squashed our Canadian Zellers when it came up here. It was comparable.

We do buy some groceries and household stuff from Walmart.

I genereally prefer Target, though Walmart is a tad cheaper. I will say that lately I feel like Target has fallen off a bit, at least around here. It's still better than Walmart, but it's getting closer.

On our recent stay at the Swan we left AK after lunch and took a Lyft to the closest Walmart. Then caught another Lyft to the Swan. Our purpose was mostly to buy drinks and snacks. They did have souvenirs at WM but when didn't look closely. I'd recommend Target for that but WM for food.

I rarely shop at either. I hit Target at least once a year because I go to the optometrist at the one on my way home from work.
I mostly shop in person at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Big Y, Stop and Shop, and Costco.

Prefer Target over WM but I seldom shop there (DW likes to get grandkids clothes there.) I'm not a WM fan, but it's only 5 minutes from the house so I sometimes stop there. I will say that the store is only about 10 years old and seems well kept up. The employees OTOH just seem so sad and tired.

When I was younger; it was Walmart as their prices are cheaper and we didn't have much money. As I got into my 30s though I really started gravitating more towards Target. Now I almost always shop at Target over Walmart unless Target doesn't have it or if it's significantly cheaper at Walmart. I just do not have the tolerance anymore and really appreciate good customer service. - Not saying it's not available at Walmart but in my experience it's not nearly as likely.

Target.

I don't shop Wal*Mart unless I am on vacation and even then I'll try to find a Target instead. I don't agree with Wal*Mart's labor policies and they are usually scummy and dirty. I always feel like I need a shower after I leave. I do most of my shopping at Costco and my local grocery store which has better pricing.

Rarely go to Target as it’s not nearby. We have Meijer and Walmart, I shop at both. Our Walmart just had a huge remodel, I went yesterday as their grand reopening was the 20th and I had been avoiding the store while it was so chaotic. It really looks nice, and has much better lighting. It looks so fresh and pretty. Not that it was bad before, but the update is just really nice. There are a lot of employees who have worked there 20+ years. Our daughter worked there that long, but a couple years ago she had to find another job as she got engaged to the store manager🙂. They are married now🙂.

Used to go to Target all the time but I'm happy with our nearby Walmart. It has always been clean and most employees have been there a long time and are usually very nice. Of course I only go to Walmart maybe once a month as I do most of my shopping at Meijer.

We go to Target a couple of times a year because they are the only place that carries the vitamins my wife uses. We are at the Walmart Neighborhood Market once a week.
Just seems like Target lost their way with us a few years ago when they went "upscale". Their grocery prices are the same as the local chain grocery stores, where Walmart is less expensive. I mean, how do you justify charging $1 a gallon more for milk and $1 more for a package of Oreos?
Truth be told, I think the employees at our Walmart Neighborhood Market make a big difference. They keep the store spotless, and greet every customer they see in the aisles and WANT to help you. And there are employees it seems all over the store to help you Target, well their employees, the few that are there, don't seem to care. The stores are on the same street, one and a half miles apart. Target just seems to attract more problem customers. They have also been hit during the pandemic with customers who have set fires in the store. One in the clothing department did no structural damage to the store, but it was closed for a month because the smoke tainted every and they had to throw EVERYTHING out and restock the store and replace all the ceiling tiles.

I go to both. Target is one of my favorite stores, but they don't have a lot of the grocery items I need, so I go to Walmart. Our Walmart just remodeled and it is much more convenient. We save at least $20 or more each trip, so that's a lot in my book. We also go to our local owned grocery store for meat and other specials. I guess I just go to several, but Target and Walmart tie:)

The Target closest to me never has a good selection of plus-size clothing, and what they do have is more expensive than Walmart. Walmart usually has something I like, so I go there and also use the online site.

Walmart is much closer for us, maybe 10 minutes; Target is about 45 minutes away. But I have trouble finding what I want at Target. It's relatively small and too much is dedicated for grocery; the rest of the store feels cramped and limited options. My main grocery shopping is at the grocery store. Walmart for other household stuff.
