target school discounts

Anyone know when Target will start marking down their school supplies? I'm looking for a backpack in particular. DD plays a select sport and the team is in need of one to carry the first-aid gear. Thanks!

Our Target started last week. We are now at the 50% point.

Our store has backpacks and lunchboxes 30% off. Paper, pencils, etc. aren't yet marked down. Every store seems to have their own markdown schedule, so YMMV.

I was there yesterday and stuff was already marked down. I did not pay attention to the % off. We are in the midwest and most schools started the week of 8/13.

Another Midwest girl here, our schools were back in about a month ago. Most stuff is 50%, there is very little paper, notebooks, etc left.

north NJ, was just at target and backpacks are 30% off, not much there though. a few items in the school aisle are on clearance but most are full price and selling out.

Here in Lexington, SC, we're at 30% off for select items.

School started 1 1/2 weeks ago, over the last few years, I've been able to scoe great clearance deals for the next year. One year, I found an entire stash of 24 ct pencils for .4 cents a box.

I was at Target this morning. Schools here mostly start tomorrow or Wednesday. The only things that were clearanced were the backpacks and lunchboxes, at 30%. I would think that you should have no problem snagging a backpack. I find that they are the items that tend to linger every year. Especially if you're not picky about colors.

I'm thinking about venturing out to a Target either tomorrow or Thursday. I'm not going to be overly picky about the backpack, I'd like it to be blue or shades of blue but only because that is the team's colors. Just need it big enough to hold some basic first-aid items and a ton of ice packs and tape.

30% here in Ohio (most schools started 8-22). Lunch boxes were 50%.

70% here today. I wandered back as they were consolidating the aisles and was able to stock up on paper, pens and scissors. Backpacks and lunch items were still 50% off though.

Our paper supplies and things like binders are down to 70% off, backpacks and lunch bags are 30% off.

I was able to find a backpack that would work, but only 30% off (and 3 targets later). All the targets I went to were consolidating the school stuff and putting out the Halloween stuff, but the best I saw was 30% off, some items weren't even clearanced. Kind of disappointing really.

I just got home from Target. Backpacks and lunchboxes are at 30% and all of the other supplies are 50 - 70% off. They don't have much on clearance at my store this year. Mostly notebooks and folders. No crayons, markers or pencils.

The target I go to has started and is at a 30% discount right now. They are also almost out of everything except folders.
There were no backpacks left on clearance at all.
