If I buy something now that will be on sale on BF, will they price adust it if I go in on BF?

I was told in another thread that I would be able to get a price adjustment. The poster told me that if the item was in stock and you bought it this week before BF, that I could take it in on Sat (while the ad was still in effect) and get an adjustment. I am hoping that is correct!

be careful, you have to buy exactly the same item and many times BF items are special items that are only available that weekend.

Just have to echo what powelljr said. Many times the items in the ad are not the same that are on the shelfs. Something the only difference is a the box that it comes in but that is different enough to not qualify for a price adjustment.

I also do not think they will give you a larger gift card (like if you buy the iPod Touch 8gb this week with the $20 gift card, I don't think they will give you the $40 gift card on Black Friday). We tried a couple weeks ago with the iPad and it was a mess.

I did this a few years ago but like others have said it has to be the EXACT same item in the ad. Some things are down to the specific color. Also if the item is on sale only till 1 you have to be there before 1 to get that price adjustment. I wasn't getting any hot items just things like flannel sheets and towels and I made sure what I had was the exact same as the picture in the ad. No problems on getting the adjustments. And all I had to do is bring the receipt.

PP are right, sometimes the BF doorbusters have a different SKU. At least one store (TRU?) didn't open the customer service counter during the early doorbuster hours.

I have been able to previous years on small toy items but I asked the manager the other day(I am in there at least 2-3 times a week so he reconizes me and usually says hello)and he told me they won't be doing it this year so I don't really know.It may be up to the store manager.I can understand now with the ease of black friday ads on line that it is probably not that fair but years ago we didn't kbow what would be on sale.He also said they will not be price matching other stores.

At my local Target they will not adjust for Black Friday. Their policy is, "If you want the deal, wait in line like everyone else."

I am working at a local Target for the holiday season. During orientation we were told "Target does not and will not give price adjustments for Black Friday items."

I wouldn't recommend trying it.

I tried to see the Westinghouse TV that's for sale at 3 different Targets in my area. It wasn't on display at all! I asked an associate and he told me he guesses that they don't want to run out of inventory before BF. I thought they didn't want to deal with the price matching...:confused3

I did this last year with almost $200 worth of stuff, and had absolutely no problem getting the price adjustments. Just went to the customer service desk Fri. afternoon with my receipt.

I was just at Target debating the TomTom that's supposed to be on sale. Checked with the clerk just before I purchased and he said they will be price matching. Also bought an Xbox today - different store - told same story - yes they will be price matching. Now, I did check to make sure that the one I bought was exactly the same one as the one in the print at shown online and I'm saving my receipt and will keep the item in my car so i can return re-buy if that's what they require.
