Target policy for black friday deals

I have a question I bought an item that I found out will be on sale in their black Friday ad. Does anyone know if they will adjust the price if I go in during the time of the sell? Or do they not price adjust that stuff? It is a huge savings!

Yes you just need to go to the service desk on either Friday or Sat. I am buying the camera I want tomorrow and taking the receipt in on Friday.

I should tell you I was a manager with Target for 8 years.

they will price adjust as long as it is not a doorbuster or a gift card with purchase, just carry the receipt in on Friday to the service desk.

That manager is wrong or doesn't abide by the policy of corporate. Nothing in the policy says that they won't do it.

If they don't match it they are going to have a BUNCH of Westinghouse TV returns this week.

You know they "pulled" this last year even though they had put out a press release saying otherwise. I got so ticked at the local Target's manager I called the customer service line. They put me on hold, after speaking to me, and called the local Target's manager to tell them that they DO price adjustments on Black Friday.

The manager called me back and was extremely rude, etc. That is one thing that has ticked me off with Target as they tout their price adjustment policies nationwide but then they don't seem to communicate that thorougly to all their stores.
 
Was told same thing - no Black Friday price matches. Tried last year at several Targets - no luck!

Yea....I am a bit worried that I may get into an altercation on my price adjustment. Plus there is something else I need to buy so can't rly just hop to another Target as it may be out by that time.

Our Target won't pricematch door busters (which they state are limited quantity, no rain check items) and gift with purchase or gift card items. Plus, if you're talking about pricematching the TV, rumor has it the SKU is different on the BF TV than their regular one to avoid this particular scenario. I don't know if it's true, but have read it on several forums and know other stores, like best buy, do this, so imagine it's not that difficult to do...

Price matching and price adjusting are two different things...

Target Stores Price Adjustment Policy

• If Target advertises a lower price either the same week or the week following your purchase, bring in your original sales receipt to Guest Services for an adjustment.

• Exclusions: Price adjustments are not made for clearance prices or Target.com prices.


Nothing in exclusions about BF deals.

But I still have my fingers crossed no issues arise doing so.
 
I sent an email to target to get the "official" word on the price adjustment policies on Black Friday. I would be willing to bet that the same store I had issues with last year will again give issues this year.

Yes, you are correct. We're able to make adjustments on sale merchandise if we advertise a lower price either the same week or the week following your Target purchase. Merchandise purchased on Sunday, November 21 through Wednesday November 24 is eligible for a price adjustment on our 2-Day Black Friday ad sale merchandise. Adjustments can be made with your original receipt. As a reminder, this service isn't available on clearance merchandise.

Awesome....I am not convinced that I will have no issues though LoL. Not everyone knows or follows corporate policy. The bad thing would be if they fight with me and I have 200 angry customers behind me while I am trying to get this done. But we will see tomorrow.

I agree - just need to stick it out and have your cell phone ready to call the Target Customer Service # - they WILL call the store - they did so in my case.

Thats good news. I am going to try and get there quickly to try and get it worked out so there isn't much of a line.
