Target Pharmacy discount

I see that people receive discount coupons from the Target pharmacy. How are they earned?

Coupons: Are mailed (randomly) to neighborhoods. I don't get them, but a friend the next street over does. These are rarely "Rx coupons" , just general Target Coupons

Sometimes in the weekly sales circulular is a coupon for a free gift card with new/transfered prescription.

I assume you may be inquiring about Pharmacy rewards. If you have a Target debit or credit card you can link it to Pharmacy rewards. After 5 prescriptions, you get a 1 day pass for 5% off all purchases. You can combine that with coupons and the 5% everyday discount for using your red card.

In order to get a prescription to count you do have to pay with your read card. If you have a HSA/FSA you can send in your claim after the fact, with your Target reciept to get reimbursed (see your own health plan for details)

You have to sign up for their rewards program and then I think for every 5 you get a 5% coupon.

you no longer have to use just your target credit card or debit card, they now allow cash and check also, you sign up and get a seperate card or you can sign up and link it to your target credit card or debit card and start earning, they also allow multiple cards linked to one account.

That is the way I perceived it, too. They must have recently changed, because I just signed up. Got the permanent card in the mail about a week ago.

I just wanted to add that I use my Target debit card all.the.time ... and the past two days I've received two different coupons on separate transactions for a $10 gift card if I use the pharmacy. I've never used the pharmacy ... so I guess they are pushing it pretty hard. HTH

I've been getting the coupons too at check out when I use my Target debit card. Just got another one last night for a $10 gift card with a new prescription.
