Does anyone know if I can use Target gift cards to buy other gift cards at Target? I am registered there for our wedding and was wondering if I could use any gift cards we received to buy Disney gift cards from there for our honeymoon? Thanks for any thoughts you can give! :cool1:

Most of the time gift cards will state that they cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. Look on the card, or maybe go to Targets website and see if you can find anything relating to that...

Or just go to Target and try to buy the Disney gift cards w/ your Targets gift cards...doesn't hurt to try!

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

I would think about the spirit in which they were given -- so that you can get something you like at Target, not to pay for your honeymoon. If they wanted to chip into your general cash flow, they would have given cash instead of gift cards.

When I received either cash or gift certificates for our wedding, I tried to find something in the price range of what they gave me and "use" it for that - and I would write that on the thank you. Instead of cash going into buying tp and groceries, I could say, "oh, I used your check to buy that really neat {insert item here} and I can remember it came from you!"

Just my $.02.

I haven't used a Target gift card to buy another gift card, but it looks like the PP has the answer for you. If you run into any trouble, use the Target gift cards for the groceries and household supplies that you would normally buy out of your regular budget, then use that money to buy Disney gift cards. Many times when I get a gift card, I take the corresponding amount out of the budget to buy a Disney gift card (especially if I get a Target card, since I buy so many things there anyway, but also if I get a restaurant gift card - I take the amount of the meal out of the budget and buy a Disney card).

If you have a Target credit card, you can get 5% off the Disney gift cards there.

yes, yes you can.

Whenever they have a "staple" (laundry detergent, dog food etc) on special where you buy multiples you get a gift card: I buy what I need, and save the gift card.
Before we went to WDW last month, we took our Target gift cards, and bought $150 worth of Disney gift cards to cover our souvenirs.
