Target Dollar Section

We just went to Target and the dollar section has many different glow items in it. Rings, bracelets, drink stirs, and a glow wand that you add batteries to, we stocked up for our December trip.

I just read an article that said Target is taking over Walmarts past lock as the most profitable discount chain....looks like this dollar section will be very successful.. I'll be checking it out before our next trip for sure.

Just went there this weekend, and I always check the dollar section. This time they had some great summer stuff. I got some flipflops, glowsticks, a watch for my trip (so I can leave my nice watch at home).

Also, don't forget that Target has travel size Tide. It comes in a bottle enough for 4 loads and it's 99 cents, and use a coupon if you have one. I had a 50 cent coupon off any size Tide so I got the travel size Tide for 50 cents. Gotta love that.

They also have some great beach/summer toys. Pails and shovels 99cents, squirt toys, etc.

target also has those tiny portable handheld fans for only $2.99 & they light up!!!!

I love the $ Spot! Watch, they put them on sale! Yesterday, it was $.25 at my Target!

I just got back from target and got a bunch of stuff from the $1 section, made up a basket for my friend moving in to her first apartment. Also got crafting/beading stuff for 25 cents! The target near me had small tools, hammers, pliers etc for $1 as well as shoelaces (2 pair in colors/patterns) all the light up stuff mentioned and a ton of princess stuff including tiaras!

That travel size Tide sounds like a great deal- I'm going to have to get one!
(I also would rather support Target as opposed to Wal-Mart!)

They also sometimes have a fiber optic light wand that includes batteries for a dollar.

Was at Walmart the other day and they have a $1 section now too. They had fanny packs for kids and also sports bottles with insulator covers withe batman and spiderman on them. they too had flip-flops and movies and such. I grabbed the last Pooh pen. It kights up when you write. I guess they are trying to compete. The fanny packs looked well made too. They had Spiderman and Batman and Hulk. I found one girls one left and I forget the name of the cartoon.

Just poked into my local Target and also saw the following useful travel items in th $1 spot:

ponchos
first aid kit components (antiseptic wipes, insect repellent, bandages)
flashlights
batteries

They also had tons of great party supplies for the long weekend-- plates, napkins, tablecloths, hot dog holders.

Thanks for the info the first aid items sound great, I will have to check for them soon. The insect bite thing will come in handy for WDW.

I went to our Target yesterday and got a set of the lighted drink stirrers (I can just see myself sitting on my OKW balcony sipping an Electric Lemonade in 26 days!!) and a fiber optic light wand for my 7 yo niece (she's going to drive my sister NUTS with that one, but that's what aunts are for !). I almost picked up some of the neon glasses. I can just imagine my 78 yo mom wearing them when we're at a park for EMH one night!!
