Darn! And I just earned another Pharma5 reward coupon!Checkout this thread:

Yes, my husband is a target manager and he told me just last night that not only are the pharm rewards no longer valid on disney gc's, but that team member discounts aren't accepted anymore either. So sad! We saved so much stacking discounts! The word is that since people have become so savings savvy, Target was losing a ton of money on the Disney Gc's so they put a stop to it. Oh well, at least the 5% red card discount still works. 5% is better than nothing at all!
I was wondering the same thing.I would just say, "oh well, I'll sell it on Ebay" but I'm wondering how in demand those coupons will be now that they do not work on gift cards. I say this because the 10% off coupons, which do exclude all gift cards, don't seem to sell as well on Ebay.
Wonder how much longer that will work??? The next thing Target will probably do is stop classifying them as entertainment cards in their system.Oh well, at least the 5% red card discount still works. 5% is better than nothing at all!
Well said! It's a unwritten rule on forums like slickdeals that you don't kill the golden goose by drawing attention to great deals. I really believe that all those people who complained that Disney GCs (and others) were "entertainment cards" and not GCs back in December are the ones who killed this golden goose. Can't say I'm surprised. After that whole mess when Target offered a 20% coupon on Black Friday and grown women threw hissy fits in store and Target social media because they couldn't fathom the word "NO." That coupon had so many restrictions and it should have been common sense that Target wasn't intending to give you a 25% discount on your Disney vacation. Show me a deal at any other retailer where you could get a 20% coupon on a gift card! Sheesh!
It's one thing to just be disappointed and move on... But many folks chewed and chewed on that bone. Wailing on FB, stalking managers by name on the mere rumor that they did an over ride.
It was a bit much. And all it did was shine a huge spotlight on the handful of entertainment cards in the store. Up until then it was no big deal. Most folks just bought a few here and there and saw the savings as a bonus... Not our God given right.
Sorry, but that's how I feel.

Exactly my thought! It's ok to share things to some extent, but no matter where I was over the last few months, the Target GC discount discussion seemed to keep coming up! I had a feeling this would happen sooner or later. I was just hoping it wouldn't happen until after I bought the cards for our upcoming trip! I guess I shouldn't have waited so long.

Agreed!I am sure the 20% decrease since the CC loss incident also played a part in this decision.
