Target credit card and disney

So my first DVC for SSR is in ROFR stage right now "Very Excited"...

Here is my questions can I apply for target credit card and get 5% all disney gift cards. When my bill arrives go to Target and pay my balance with an American Express cash back card. Trying to get best bang for buck since I will be paying maintenance fees........

YES! And if you use their pharmacy, after every 5 prescriptions you get, you get an additional 5% so that would be 10% off your disney cards. I use them for my room bill. We charge everything to our room and every other night I would go to the front desk and pay off my bill. My family was there for 8 nights after Christmas. Dinner every night for 7 people and other things I spent approximately $4,000. Luckily, both my daughters work for Target so I get an additional 10% so it really cost me $3,200.

Most credit cards will not allow you to pay your balance using another credit card. Target is no different.

You could do a balance transfer but check your interest rates

I know for a fact you cannot pay the Target Visa card off with another CC. When you go to the counter you can pay with cash or debit card only.

This may be a silly question. We are staying off-site next month (free hotel with DH's reward points). Can I use a Disney card purchased at Target to buy our park tickets at the gate?

I finally got a Target card (even though the closest store is 65 miles away). You can really buy a gift card with the credit card and get 5% off? Consistently?

No. You can't use a different credit card to pay off the Target card.

Yes, you can get 5% off Disney gift cards with you Red card. Not sure why pp said no. . .

You do not get 5% off of Target gift card or pre-paid Visa/Amex cards. You DO get 5% off of what they call "Entertainment cards" which are gift cards to anywhere else (restaurants, Disney, etc.).

Exactly! We buy Disney, Burger King, and Wendy's gift cards with our Red Card and save 5% at checkout!

Okay, I know that the OP can't do what he proposed, but just how would it kill a credit score if he could?

This. We always buy Disney gcs at Target in preparation for our trips. Use the pharmacy and every 5 prescrptions gets you an additional 5% off. Every little bit helps.
