Target and Disney Gift Cards!!!

I went to Target today to purchase some gift cards using my Red Card and was told they no longer give the 5% discount on gift card purchases. This must have been a recent change since I had gotten some earlier this month.

It was the employees who were confused. There was a special discount of additional 5% off and she was very confused and had me confused too. When I got home and studied my receipt, I saw that she had the whole purchase wrong. Customer service finally got it straightened out the next day. There is still 5% off on all entertainment gift cards.

I don’t understand why you say my statement is incorrect? It looks like You said the same thing I did. You can order the gift cards online and get 5% off your order.

Sorry to bring this old post back up... curious if anyone has tried the 5 percent off in December/Jan and if it still works?

From the post, it looks like you can buy the Disney gift cards online and get an E-card? So is the gift card pretty much immediate then?

I did that in early December. Just waiting for my new Red Card billing cycle to open so I can do it again!

I did have a problem last time, though. The eGCs usually come in a matter of hours but this time it didn’t. I called on the second day and was transferred up the line to their GC specialists. At one point they told me they’d have to cancel the order, but about an hour later it came in, so I used it quickly, and it went through! I think the problem was related to a big sale or special deal they were having the day I ordered, so hopefully all will go smoothly this month.

I grabbed ecards from Target yesterday. Zero issues. Got my 5% off and had the emails in less than an hour.
