Is the Discover the Magic Tour targeted to a younger age group? Wondering if it will appeal to my 11 year old son

It sounds fun and I love the treat is frozen apple juice since he has a dairy allergy

Any thoughts?

We did it last year and my kids were 9, 8, 5 & 2 and they all loved it. My older two got into the most. There was an older boy on our tour who kind of hung back, but I don't know if that was from disinterest or not being the personality to jump right in (there were a lot of kids around 5-10 who were really into it).

Just be aware, depending on what time of year you go, the treat is not always the frozen apple juice. Last Nov it was hot chocolate in a souvenir mug. Hopefully if you let them know about his allergy they could come up with an alternate treat though.

We did this tour last summer for DD's 6th birthday. The oldest child in our group was 9 and I think the average age was 5. I think if there was an 11 year old in our group, he would have felt out of place, but it really depends on who else is on the tour at the time. It's a really fun tour, and if anything, the 11 year old will enjoy going on the rides without having to wait in line.

We did it last month and my kids were 5, 6 and almost-9. They all loved it, but I do feel like we're on the edge of the oldest being too old for it. A year or two more and he may not have been as into it. Like the others have said, our group was about 5-10 yo. I think it really depends on the kid AND the group you end up with.

ETA - they do accommodate allergies - if you decide to do the tour, tell them about the allergy when you make the reservation. Since they couldn't confirm the frozen apple juice gluten free (which it probably was, but they couldn't be sure) for my Celiac kids, they gave us vouchers to go get a gluten free brownie from Jolly Holiday.

We had a weird mix when we went. There was a couple celebrating an anniversary, a group of about 9 who were all early twenties, and our family. My DS5 and DS10 were the only kids in the group! Everyone had a great time, and was willing to be silly and have fun. My DS10 still says it was the highlight of the trip.
