Target- 75% off toys

Does anyone know if the dream sketcher would be appropriate for a 3 year old? I picked one up yesterday for my nephew but I haven't decided if I will give it to him or not.

Also- I found great deals in the fishing section!!

went by my Target today, what was 3 isles of 30% off toys........turned into 1/2 of one isle of 75% off toys. An employee said mine went 75% off yesterday..........and I missed it!! :(
I remember Target had a big clearance on their toys last year around summer time too.........am I remembering that right?? Does anyone else remember their Target having a toy clearance any other time besides after Christmas? This time I'll be ready for that one!

On my way there now......crossing my fingers for some good deals. I have 3 children with birthdays in the upcoming weeks.

BTW the Generation Girl futons were sold out way before Christmas here. They now have beanbag chairs for the dolls.

Oh.....please send some pixie dust my way....DD wants the L-Max.

Thanks for posting about the sales. :)

I hit Target last night. Apparently I should've headed to the toy section first b/c by the time I got there there were 2-3 women with at least 1 cart of toys each. (where's the smiley that is smacking him/herself in the forehead?)

Anyway, I bought a Share a story with me (the one that reads)Carebear for DD#1. It was $9.xx. I was thinking of keeping it until her b-day, in June.
Has anyone else bought this and like it? Right now I'm thinking of taking it back b/c it's reminding me too much of Chucky..... :rotfl:

They also had Dr. Seuss hardcover books for $5 and quite a few kid's DVDs on sale for $5.50. I bought a Wiggles one (gremlins was in the title?) and a Fraggle one. The books/DVDs weren't on clearance, just on sale.

I need to head back there b/c at least 50% of the kid/baby section was on sale or clearance and I need to start stocking up on Baby gifts for friends. They're not pregnant now, but I know they will be once the sales are over! :teeth:

I think our had another clearance around the summer, too. I need to be ready, also, b/c we have a TON of nieces to buy x-mas gifts for!! :sunny:

Thanks for the heads up- I got a PlayItNow digital music thingy for $7.48. I thought I might save it for DD's Easter Basket. Also- I got this
bb_1.JPG
for $4.98 plus 2 packs of extra cartridges for $1.24 each. My DS once asked for this toy but it was $20. And I cleaned them out of Angelina Ballerina UNO at $1.24 each.
not toys- I also got a Coleman camping siren, flood light, radio TV thing for $14.99.
Thanks OP for the heads up

:( I found a Bratz cartridge for DD3's leapster (I know she'd have a bit of time before she could play that one) for 6.22. Got it home, opened it, and found no cartridge. Unbelieveable! The good news is I also got a dream sketcher for 15, a VTech girl's computer game for 9, a Bratz doll 4.22, a Disney Mix Stick 25, mix clip, headphones, case, wall charger, all for 7.50 each, jam stand for I think 27, Eddie Bauer outdoor adventure set 85, and car care set for DH for 5. I think I did well, but hate that I have to go back to return the Leapster game (or lack thereof). I know I'm going to feel funny returning the empty box, even though I'm not the one who stole the cartridge.

I just called my local target and asked what their toys were marked down to right now... she said 30%. I asked if they'd go to 75% and she "probably" but she couldn't say if they mark down on certain days of the week or anything like that. Does anyone here know if certain days are the best days to try?? Thanks!

I SCORED:
2 Disney Dream Sketchers ($15 each) and 3 cartridges for $3.47 each (Toy Story, Nemo, Incredibles)
Dora clothes armoire $5
lots of Build-a-Bear outfits/accessories $1.24 each
Cinderella dress up Dress $5
Holiday Cinderella Barbie-type doll $9
Buzz Lightyear electronic spaceship $5 and several small playsets w/ figures $1.24
Lots of other stuff, too, my little pony, polly pockets, barbie stuff, for birthdays/etc. I am sort of kicking myself that I DIDN'T get the L-Max for $45, but my oldest is only 3 right now, and has a leap pad that she doesn't play with.
Quite a shock when I went in yesterday as the shelves at MY target were almost bare, and there had been three very full aisles just 2 days ago. I hit a second target, too, which actually still had more stuff. I also got some winter clothes (hey, $.94 for a turtleneck onesie can't be beat!)

No luck at our Target with Lmax. They are still $89.89.

The only Lmax's that were on sale were the red ones. They look just like the other LMAX, but it is red.

Our toys were 75% off but they had NOTHING!! It was 1 aisle. Literally 1/2 of the aisle was the barbie dress-up dress. Then there were no less than 75 of these Hot Wheels loop track thing. Other than that there was pretty much nothing to really pick from. They had 1 rack of men's coats at 75% off- then all the other clothing racks were still at 30% off (not even 50). I was really disappointed.

Our target was picked clean! Just tons of those Hulk type hands that obviously didn't sell well!

hi,

i got the dream sketcher, and think a 3 yo would like it,,,its very simple and has the disney characters as the stamps!!

our target was pretty wiped except for a TON of troll dolls, some firetrucks and the dora bed and wardrobe,,,,,i have to try another one tomorrow,,,do you think there will be any thing left at all??

(Slightly off topic but...) In the kitchen appliance area our Target had Black and Decker jar openers for 75% off. We bought one of these for my mom at full price and she loved it so much we got another for ourselves (also at full price). If anyone needs a gift for someone who has arthritic (or, like me, weak) hands, I think they were about $7 or so.

Went to 3 different Targets yesterday and things were definately picked over. Most stores had several aisles of toys at the beginning of the week and only one or less now. Got a few things for birthday bins and DD/DS bdays. Here are some things I got:
Aircraft carrier $5
Bratz motorcycle $6.24
Doodle mat $4.98
Polly pocket car $2.48
Bratz Ooh Lala doll $4.24
Bratz Step n out doll $3.48
Smores maker $3.73
Handheld merlin $3.24
EA sports plug n play $4.68
Tv video vison whac a mole $4.98 (now have to get player at walmart!)
stuffed elephant chair - $7.48
Lego knights dress up $3.74
Domino stacking truck $4.74
2 pack star wars light sabres $3.24

And my best deal - Batman tricycle $7.48-$5 coupon on box - total $2.48

Stores had lots of plug and plays, trolls, cars, fantastic four sets, etc. I saw a spiderman fold out sofa chair for $7.48, but didn't grab it. Went back and someone else had it in their cart. :( Could have kicked myself. Made me remember you have to take something right away, or it will be gone!

Overall, not too bad, but was wishing I could find a couple furbys.

Well, I missed the boat. By the time I got to Target - yesterday around 1:00 there was very little left.

I did get DD the Angelina Ballerina Castle - $7.50, but it appears to have bee already opened, a few pieces broken and then returned. DD is happy so that is all that matters.

I lead an eager lady to the Bratz motorcycle for $6+. She was SO excited.

Funny thing...our Target had shelves of the red LMax in the Christmas clearance stuff. THe LMax were 30% off. Then I never saw them again. I am wondering what happened to ALL of them.

Oh well, I am going on a spending freeze anyways, so I am going to try to stay away from all the "deals". LOL!

im sure somebody got the lmax's to sell on ebay,,,,at our target, we called at 9am and were told they were on sale,,,,the nice guy in the toy section put 2 in a cart for us and we sent DH to pick them up before work,,,in the meantime, i called DH and asked him to get 1 more for a gift,,,,DH got there at 9:30, and all of the Lmax's were gone, as well as all the dream sketchers!!! thank goodness we at least got the 2 we needed....they went so fast,,,,they were such a HUGE bargain!

I was happy to get the items I did at 30% off. My district is opening a new special ed preschool, and I spent about $500, but got great stuff!

I stayed home at 75% off.....I just didn't need anything. When I finally made it to Target (maybe TH night?), everything was essentially gone. I did buy a Sea Monkeys set for $4 for my class....they are so "into" ocean animals, and found one lone Star Wars figure for ds ($1).

In past years, I have bought too much stuff. My kids are at the age that they want to get something specific for friends, not a toy from Xmas, and I don't want to store items anymore. But it was fun in the "old days"

Julia

Not much left at our Target. I did get a Plug and Play for $6.24 and a Batman Set (mask, belt, and cape) for 6.XX. The Angelina Ballerina Uno were not marked down, but I did a price scan and they were 1.68. They are pink so I thought they would be cute for valentines day.
