Target 5% off Disney Giftcards no longer offered?

I noticed today when attempting to order a Disney Giftcard on Target.com with my Redcard it wasn't taking the 5% off. Anyone else notice this? I hope it isn't a new change.

If so it is not huge surprise. When they stopped the pharmacy 5% I figured it was just a matter of time till they stopped it all

I just called a store (it's about an hour away) to see if they had any and they told me they wouldn't give the discount

Maybe that's why my target card won't let me. I bought $1500 so far this month but needed, $800 more and as of yesterday have not been able to do it.gets that's the end of target for me, move on to SAMs club.

Actually, what's happened was this. You can receive 5% off Disney Gift cards (and most other merchandise) when purchased with a Target Red card (either debit or credit). Some people found there was a glitch in the system at Target.com and they were able to have their account there have the default payment as their Target Red card (so the system would give them the 5% off any purchases), but when they actually checked out, they used Target gift cards they got at a discount from another site.

Target finally caught on and now, when purchasing Disney Gift Cards, you can only get the 5% off if you actually purchase with the Target Red card.

Yeah you have to use the target red card for the full purchase in order to get the 5% on gift cards (past Target employee right here)

Yeah, as long as you put the full amount on your red card you get the discount. Sounds like people are trying to purchase with gift cards and red card to get the 5%, but you can't do that. People used to try and do that when I worked at Target; put a dollar on their red card and pay with a different card or gift cards for the rest of it. The computer doesn't allow it.

They might be having an issue with their website. Give it a day and try again
