Target - 5% discount to buy gift cards?

Can I use my Target Red Card to buy WDW gift cards and get the 5% off? I've heard many things in these boards, but nothing recent.

Red Card yes thee pharmacy rewards no longer work.

Getting 5% off is not a bad thing. It sort of pays for the taxes.

When Kroger had a 4X fuel point offer. $500 worth of gift cards equaled 2 fillups for a $1 off per gallon, which was pretty good.

You shouldn't be charged taxes on GC. Tax is collected at the point of sale (when GC is redeemed) thus it's double taxation if you are charged tax when buying the GF too. If your vendor attempts to charge tax when buying the GC, question it.

I think the pp's point is when she goes to buy a souvenir or something the 5% discount she got on the gift card offsets the sales tax.
